Billy the Kid Series — Dolan House Tribute

This design is a historical tribute rather than a literal depiction of events. Billy the Kid was killed in 1881, while the Dolan House was built several years later in 1888. The artwork brings the two together symbolically to celebrate the history and legends of Lincoln, New Mexico.

The design also honors Bill and Beverly Stauser, whose dedication helped restore and preserve the Dolan House after years of serious deterioration. Their work helped give new life to an important piece of Lincoln’s Old West history.

The house is also associated with paranormal stories involving Jimmy Dolan and Caroline “Lena” Dolan, adding another layer to a property already deeply connected to Lincoln’s past.

Blending Billy the Kid, preservation, Old West history, and haunting lore, this design celebrates the people and stories that continue to keep historic Lincoln alive.
